I also attended NAB and saw the Juke Box and their system. While I was impressed overall with the transmission and ability to convert videos to DVD, store on Juke Box and play, I was very disappointed that the Juke Box on display was broken. I was told that FedEx broke it in transit: "they must have dropped it from really high to break it like that" was their only answer. If you didn't ask to see it work, you wouldn't have known it was broken. The video play was from a Panasonic DVD player inside the "box" (it holds 8 players), but was obviously manually fed to the player. As this was something I looked forward to seeing at NAB, I was very disappointed that it didn't work. There was a spiral piece that was broken top and bottom. The fact that their equipment sits in cheap looking boxes (they looked like someone spray painted them the day before) didn't bother me too much since they are demo items admittedly not in production yet. However, to not even function gave me a bad feeling. On the positive side, the InnovaCom people seemed very knowledgeable and upbeat. I don't think the problem was technical so much as poor marketing. But would you buy a Juke Box that wouldn't work? If it's to be in production in 60 days, I hope it's better built. I was told that the NASDAQ listing had been applied for. Also was told that there are no plans to buy back the convertables exchanged for the $5 million dollar investment a few months ago. I didn't expect them to buy them back as allowed for in the contract, as I know they need the funds, but am concerned (having been burned by shorts and market manipulators) that the stock is set up for some short selling driving the price way down; then the typical conversion of $5 million dollars in cheap stock diluting our investment. This is merely a fair analysis of my opinions of this stock. I am long and plan to hold my shares long term. But it is highly speculative (just as Xerox once was - or Bre-X). The ability to remotely control 422 hours of broadcast, convert from tapes to disc, provide a less expense conversion alternative for broadcasters is all very impressive. Koz, with his position on the MPEG standards board and patents in the field is a big plus. By chance has anyone seen the juke box work???
