Gene,

>In my neighborhood 15 year old kids were making $ 50 installing Windows 95. Is this bad?

Is that per install? How much did we pay them to install the OS on an Apple II or Commodore 64? Is the continuing waste of time, effort and money on keeping a PC running better than buying one that works and then spending capital and energy on other products or services? The PC has become less of a tool and more of a project. Why is it that I can buy a $200 GPS receiver that never locks up and performs as expected but if I put the same functionality under a Windows application it becomes an ordeal to use? Something is fundamentally wrong with that from a consumer standpoint. The PC has been a treasure chest for Wintel and a Pandora's box for the user.

Cheers,

Norm
