i see intel at $137.5 in june-july 99.
everything else on all threads and Barrons and all is just noise noise noise..that will
be forgotten soon and intel will be glorified in all magazines (time to sell).
hopefully if you buy today and all this will happen in 18 months. you can
get out w. on 20% for uncle sam.

i am guessing once Merced is out, intel will be in position to charge
anything. With an estimate of 5.5eps and pe of 25, I think it trade at 137.5

just a wild guess, since you asked. I don't think any one knows.
and i don't think any of the long-term holders really care where intel is on any given day.

I am a little more optimistic than most. By year end I hope for 140 for INTC and 60 for AMAT, which are roughly 2/3 and 1/3 of my portfolio, respectively.

So with a lot of margin I dream of a 235% return for 1998. By humbly wishing for it it may happen,
humble carl
