I think the "H" likely meant Holy, don't you ?
I know jeepers creepers is likely a substitute swear word learned by young children many years ago.
Are you aware that in Quebec, where the language is arguably French, more likely "joual", almost all swear words are directed against the Church or Christ, it is very common to hear people using words like Heck, a great substitute for it's more sinister brother Hell. In Scotland some very strange swearing phrases are used, most disrespectful and irreligious.

So let me ask you, do you think I should be bothered if
someone says to me " maudit, tabernac, sacre bleu. "
