Richard, I think the average customer HAS figured out the K6 is better than the Pentium MMX. Have you looked at the most recent retail sales numbers? I think they speak for themselves.

And even if the customer can't figure out that a K6 is faster than a Celery, what makes you think he'll figure out a PII is faster than Celery? After all, they all run at 266 MHz.

Richard, about 50% (and rising) of K6 ads display the K6 logo now, because consumers DO know its faster. When Celeron comes out, it will be like the 486SX. The ads will try to hide the fact that it's a Celeron and say "266 MHz Pentium II technology" or some other euphemism, but consumers will catch on, read the fine print, and not buy the Celeron machines.
