Ignacio:

I have told Drakes before that if he turns out to be wrong about BT selling then he should see himself in a very bad light. Part of an orchestrated market paranoia of sorts.

It'a conspiracy, a conspiracy I say! Too funny.

I am sure that there is nothing illegal about this but I can hardly see how one can be pleased with oneself.

Yawn.

If he is wrong and BT sells a lot this year he should dissapear from the small cap stock threads at the very least. I will personally remind him of this. On the other hand if BT does not sell in 98 I will never give my opinion in any thread.

Which exit did you take off of the reality superhighway? There are no sales. I haven't posted a negative word on RACE in ages you and you still have to drag me into the discussion. Get a life. Move on.

Ignacio, this not a complex story. BT hasn't been selling product of any material consequence to their bottom line. They have had several years to get their message out going back to the preliminary product announcement and they have succeeded in that regard. Needless to say that makes their failure all the more pointed.

Their competitors put the focus on ISDN and now RACE is following suit while struggling to deliver a modern, 56K upgrade. The fact that RACE is actively looking for experienced VOIP engineers should tell you what a following-edge outfit this me-too company really is. BTW, we're talking from 40K to 60K for entry level and 100K and up for anybody of any real value.

Ignacio, I see BT as an incremental extension of three-year-old communications technology. The minor benefits which this product has to offer simply do not justify the purchase of wholly proprietary hardware and software. The product is anything but future-proof and nobody want's to be stuck with this technological white elephant. That's not speculation on my part, it's clearly demonstrated in the results and supported by common sense. I could be wrong, but in this case I seriously doubt it.

AFA the remarks regarding Drakes and Company, that's silly. They saw a market opportunity and they took advantage of it. Short sellers are every bit as healthy for the markets, if not more so, than short term traders on the long side. Ignacio, BT and RACE don't need any help in failing, they've done a remarkable job on their own.
