I am very troubled by the socialization of children in the U.S. and around the world in these "end" times. Many are raised in a godless society where sex and violence is the norm. I had heard on one of the nightly newsmagazines that kids in the U.S. today see over 8,000 murders on TV by the time they become teenagers!!!! - 8,000!!!! Match that with violent video games and poor role models and it's no wonder things are so messed up today.

The most troubling thing is the removal of God from the schools and daily lives of the Children. My wife is a kindergarten teacher (yes, she desperately wants children even though she's around them all day.) She works at a private school where she is not permitted to even mention God in any context (she cheats anyway!) She has to endure Christmas and Easter goings-on at the school without talking about the real reason for the celebration. This is RIDICULOUS!!! Are our children to hold Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny in higher esteem than Jesus?!? Why does my wife have to constantly risk losing her job by mentioning God?

Even those kids that are taught about Jesus at home and who tell my wife that "on Christmas Day Baby Jesus was born," are not allowed to be responded to. I'm sure this is true at many schools, public and private, all over the U.S. My wife would love to work at a Christian school, but feels that she can, by stealth, work the Message into some of her kids' hearts - kids that would not receive it otherwise.

"Lord, what have we become?...in a world degenerating?"

Lord Father in heaven,

Why do we stray from you? Why are we told that spreading Your Word is the infringement of others' rights? Please grant our teachers strength to do the right thing - to spread Your Message, to pass on the Good News of our Lord and Saviour - even if it jeapordizes their current positions. Give our leaders wisdom to allow You into the hearts of our children. Help us to drive out this wickedness that has rooted itself so firmly into our society and schools. Help us to raise future generations in Your Name, to love and serve others.

I Jesus' name I pray!

Hello Paul,

For some reason I keep forgetting to reply to your kind messages. I'm amazed that there are so many former frat boys on these boards. Gregor is one also...

I've heard of the triangle relationship with God, husband, and wife: The closer the man and woman are to God, the closer they are together. I definitely agree with that. I'm not too worried about finding a mate, although I'm betting that a girl will sweep my off of my feet within a year. I'm certain that God has some kind of plan for me. I am an independent person by nature and think that I probably don't need anyone in my life but God so maybe He would like me to remain single.

Side Note to all: Although we've been discussing my situation recently, I would like to mention that I don't feel sorry for myself in my position. I will probably wish later on in life that I had this opportunity to witness back again. I just like to hear suggestions on how to make the best of my situation. I'm in a much better situation now as a Christian than I was as a non-Christian living in a pretty normal home as a High School kid with loving parents. It's like the words of a contemporary song go (and maybe a Bible verse)

I would rather walk in the dark with Jesus, than walk in the light on my own

How very true.

God bless all,

Grant

P.S. Paul, I'm praying for you.
