I heard once that the reason Freud tried to explain behavior in terms of sexual relationships with one's parents had to do with his clientele. He counseled primarily affluent, well-respected society types. Frequently, the children who he was counseling for emotional problems would tell him they were being molested. He couldn't believe these respectable men would do such a thing, so he assumed the kids were making it up and came up with psychological theories to explain it.

MB:

I understand you are pessimistic on GTW, what's your downside target?

I agree with you the stock is overvalued at this point. The CPU preannouncemnet can't be a good sign for GTW, because it too has a high exposure to home office and consumer segment. The plan to open local stores seem like a so so idea. In the face of sub-$500 next year, will there be enough margin left for the extra cost?
However, consider CPQ's failed 7 billion acquisition proposal, will the company finally agree to sell out, if the industry does crumble?

On dell, how long do you think they can hold on to pricing pressure in their core corporate segment?

As always, you opinion will be highly appreciated.
