Are you sure its not TQNT? They just pre-announced lower than expected earnings.

Pls tell me your source is right and VTSS not Triquint. Cause I just miss my chance with Triquint warning of missing this quarter number. Unlike Sam, I am betting on a farm on this guy to go down big time.

On March 14 gp writes:
Last quarter there earnings beat estimates by a penny I sense a preannounced earnings release is due shortly.

On March 19 gp writes:
With profit warnings from the semiconductor industry strong, VTSS seems poised to retest the $40 price near term. I have heard from my firm's trading desk that there are a lot of large institutional sellers in the market place.

On March 24 gp writes:
The time to exit VTSS is now before it trades into the $30s+ after the earnings are released in two weeks. Trading on instinet has been large as institutional money flow is leaving the stock before the earnings date..

Now today we get the earnings shortfall declaration;

I say give it a rest gp, you have lost credibility here and it is very obvious that you are short (and new to SI).

Repectfully,
Michael

sammy, please don't short this on some cluless west coast anlyast.
these guys will manage the quarter by beating estimates by 2 cents and giving a nice rosy outlook with a 3 for 2 or 2 for 1

GP Get Real!! The only "West Coast" analyst is Elias Moosa of BankAmerica Roberton Stephens. I get all BARS research and the last write-up on VTSS was March 26, there has been no special bulletin or change since this write-up. At that time the stock was at $46.13 and was rated a "Buy". They said that with more than half of VTSS' business in the telecom deep backbone, their business is less prone to near-term ups and downs of other companies (ie ANAD, GALTF, LEVL, PMCS). They look for a drop in the book-to-bill rate as more capacity comes on line and that this reduction will be offset by even further acceleration in revenues. They think the stock can "renew its positive trend" as this revenue ramp-up begins. Their forecast is $.29 on $38.3 million in revenues.

Now that I have given you my source and information I think this board deserves your source and information or you should just shut up. As they say PUT UP OR SHUT UP. Lets see your "West Coast Analyst". Who is he/she? You are full of hot air.
