Hi Tom-

Just for kicks I started AAII Stock Investor which is up to date thru
2/31/98 (haven't received the 3/31 release yet). Here's the first
several hi yield stocks:

Name Sym Beta Yld % BV/sh P/E
Grupo Mexicano Desarrollo GMD.B +2.26 458.6 10.75 N/A
Kings Road Entertainment KREN -0.99 426.8 0.53 9.4
Unimar Indonesian Units UMR -0.24 145.1 16.32 0.8
Meridian PT Rlty Trust 83 MPTBS -1.27 117.3 0.88 0.8
Weitzer Homebuilders Inc WTZRA -0.89 53.6 1.06 N/A
Terra Nitrogen Co. L.P. TNH +0.25 22.6 10.73 5.9
Property Capital Trust PCT +0.76 22.6 5.93 0.3
CleveTrust Realty Invest CTRIS +0.53 21.3 0.70 0.3
Torch Energy Royalty Tru TRU +0.24 20.8 12.90 4.5
IP Timberlands, Ltd. IPT +0.25 19.8 11.99 2.2

So there you have rogues gallery of high yield stocks. Just a few
down from IPT was CMO (Capstead Mortgage Corp) which has popped out of
a few searches in the past. Seems to have some good rankings and has
a beta 1.30. Might be worth looking into.

So far I haven't come close to recovering the cash reserve that I
thought I had. The few sales I've had have helped, but I have a long
way to go. My new theme song: "Closey's Don't Count!" :-)
