I have heard that IS requests for Monster products have an 80% higher risk of rejection than Blaster products. Ironically, SoundBlaster had the same stigma until it became synonymous with "standard" equipment.

Anyway, I found this interesting link and I do recall hearing about something like this at the beginning of the month myself:
