** One Stock One Week *** Orckit (ORCTF) long open monday. There will be an announcement on Monday regarding deployment of xDSL. I think it will involve Orckit so....I am going to pick it once again.. Just love those "investments" when they turn out :)

Another contest suggestion: that we start the contest over at some point of time. My suggestion would be either at a fixed date such as July 1 or at the anniversary of its start or at regular six month intervals. This may generate more interest among the late-joiners and us "losers." I believe that this has not been proposed previously.

* 1 STOCK - 1 WEEK * WEEK 22 RESULTS - Corrected Srvhap'a ORCTF came from behind with a strong showing today to take the top spot and he moved from 16th to 9th overall. In the interest of being profound, everyone else finished below him. It has certainly been an interesting week. Big ups and downs. Two of the new rules had effects: Alan pulled up from NSF to finish even for 0 points and Brian almost got back to even with his averaged down CREAF: it cost him -2 however. Had Rudy averaged down at yesterday's close, his SEEK would have taken second place. Tom and I closed out our positions after only 1 day open and both proved to be wise decisions: neither would have finished as well at any other time during the week. Finally, everyone in the NSF column was down only fractioally: no big losers, at least in absolute terms.... After starting the week down almost 4%, the group average finished nearly even (-0.375 and .12%) with the average stock down less than 1/32. The average player, however, was up over 1%. For the fourth week in a row, no one made it onto the top 15% list.....and for only the second or third time less than +10% won it. Since no one has objected to Rudy's idea and unless some do before Monday, next week's winner will get to have 2 picks the following week - I'll work up some formal language over the weekend. I will also try to get out March's final results.... One final note, I hadn't realized that the week was over either until I read Wiseowl's response.....that kind of week....
