Q,

Maybe people who are advising periodically on SI threads and are attracting a following could divulge some number to indicate how their portfolios have performed over the last 12 months (% gains or some such measure----maybe capital gains and losses they had to pay, perhaps).

Then the rest of us could judge whom to listen to.

How have you been doing this last year?

Meanwhile, I just look for logic and insight wherever possible.

I tend to ignore the analysts though.

Regards,

TCG

Geez, q, didn't you see the smiling face in mt post?---it's good Friday.

PS: All I was saying was that I placed your opinions on the lower, conservative scale when surveying SI for small investors sentiment.

Q, sez: ...even with the fact that older switches have to be either updated or replaced for Y2K compliance.

While I'm not interested in bandying about price levels, I am interested in trying to understand the above.

I'm not a techie and I'm not an engineer, but I do know the Y2K is coming smack at us and it has some pretty fouled up consequences.
What I don't understand, in lay languaging please, is how a 2 bit year date code omission is in a telephone "switch."

Would you please take a shot at this...

I figured telephones would be fouled up by this Y2K bug, but I just don't understand switches, when all I know about switches is they either turn something on or off, or re-arrange train tracks so a locomotive goes left instead of right.

Thanks so much.
