What a useless, shallow collection of mindless blather. Instead of picking it apart line by line, let me just say that the co-opting of morality by cults such as yours has a long history. As with the rest of your poppycock and codswallop, it belies the facts: never have so many so needlessly died is such horrible fashion as they have at the hands of religious zealots. I would hasten to add that I would not single out the Christians in that regard. Despite the conspiracy of Christians to extricate it, the fact remains that Adolf Hitler was deeply religious man and a devout Christian.

Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.

Adolf Hitler

The German Christian Social movement which molded Hitler bears a striking resemblance to the Christian Right in America today. Why stop at Hitler? Our history is full of such examples but all of them only serve to cloud the real issue: the man-made God and the writings which document the early religious beliefs are pure fiction, nothing more. Nothing could be more dangerous than blindly buying into and then extending this tradition of making it up as they go along. That's not to say that there are not valuable in a humanistic sense, but that's another point entirely.

Jane, amen sister. I take your words in the spirit of love and truth with which they were written.

Indeed my heart rejoices, because the words of truth in scripture have withstood every onslaught. His word, like Jesus, is perfect and complete. I believe that God has been glorified here on this thread, as His word has been shown to be Truth.

There are sobering truths in the Bible, as you pointed out, Jane. In addition to what you quoted, the scripture says that the Spirit of God will not strive with man forever. I don't remember the exact place, but the New Testament says this, and also that eventually, if a person continually rebels and rejects God's calling, that person risks being "given over to a reprobate mind". In other words, Satan eventually will have free reign with such a person. Sobering truth.
