Early buzz has a 40 opening which would give it a market cap of around
$1.6 billion.

The underwriter's estimate for BRCM are as follows:
1998-Revenues of $150 million eps-.54
1999-Revenues of $241 million-eps-.71

It is not their current technology advantage that seperates this company from all the other IC companies. BRCM has one of the best design teams in the world and they are extremely focused. Also, their partnerships and relationships with all the key players (General Instrument, Cisco, Intel etc...) are extremely valuable. The bet on this company is faith that they have the management, technologists & partnerships to take advantage of the broadband access nirvana.

This one should be interesting.
