>>I would have to say I am a spiritual man. Does being a spiritual man have a religion since I believe in any belief that causes mankind or a small portion of there to be and act within a standard world wide moral behavior?<<

I would say yes since morality lies within the province of religion. Moral teachings and even moral sensibility comes from religion. Divorcing it from religion is really not practical even though people in our age do it all the time. They do it because they still have a functional memory of religion, even if they do not practice what they still remember.

IOW, where do people turn once the religious basis of their morality is forgotten and they becomes confused about morality? Back to religion of course.

Religion is, however, much more than morality. That's why I don't think you can say that you are a Catholic, Buddhist, whatever, all at the same time. There simply is too many differences among religions. If I say that I am a member of many religions, than my understanding or practice of them cannot be that deep or serious because if it were, I would have to face the contradictions between them and chose one over the other.

Anyway, FWIW.

><>...Evening Ga, and welcome, it is good to have you here...><>

nancy and Alan are fine people and this is a very peaceful place, hope you enjoy.

Ga, You said:
Now I am a Christian to a degree by the standards and principals of Christianity but
I am also a Hebrew, Catholic, Buddhist. etc etc.

To a degree? What Degree?

To the degree that Christ was born of a virgin, conceived of the Holy Spirit of God?
That Christ died for your sins?
That He rose again on the third day?
That He ascended up to heaven and now sits on the right hand of God?
That He is God in the Flesh?
That all who believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life?

The above are just some of the things that set Christianity apart from all other religions. In fact Christianity is not a religion, but a relationship with God our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

Talking about degrees I have got to go and adjust our thermostat.

Have a good evening
Shalom...><>

GaBard;

What is your belief that lies ahead when you die. Even though you wish to live by high standards do you consider yourself perfect? Can you give me a good reason why you exist and were you came from. Do you believe in evolution? Do you look upon God as a Father figure and what is your thoughts on Jesus. I read your post but most of it I never heard before;

So they took the sword of Marduke and slew his mother Eurynome and then named Marduke Jehovah... thus the Sword of Jehovah.

????????????

Also if you believe in life after death, do you believe we will have eternal bodies without sin?

Do you believe in sin?

Alan

I'm sorry. I posted a stunned response to the uniqueness of this concept to Alan. But it was really to you. It is just before this one.
