Bob, I recall the Internet boom/bust of 95-96. Similar blow-offs and long tortuous declines then. Folks here don't seem to look at 5-year charts. Look at even excellent investments such as CMGI, which has fluctuated from a high of about $50 in 95-96 to low teens in early 97 when MSFT bought an interest in it, to $70+ Thursday. In 95-96 it was modem stocks, ISPs and networking stocks and any company that could spell "Java" Many of them had a hard ride down to penny-stock status.

I see "Internet" stocks now in the hands of these day traders, and loose from the fundamentals. Like any herd, if it panics, it will stampede south as fast as it stampeded north.
