To all, I just got off the phone with the FDA in Washington D.C. I spoke with a representative in the Division of Manufacturing and Product Quality. I asked him if he could tell me when they are going to inspect a particular drug facility. His response--"Boy nobody has ever asked me that type of question before". He is going to try to get an answer for the Vivus plant and will get back to me ASAP. If others would like to help "prod" the FDA along you can call the FDA at 1-800-532-4440. Once on the line don't hit any button-just hold. When someone answers ask to be connected to The Division of Manufacturing and Product Quality. A receptionist will answer. Ask her if you can talk to someone in regards to when a particular drug manufacturing plant that you are invested in is going to get inspected. The guy I spoke with was Bruce Hartman. He seemed like a nice fellow. Maybe it is just wishful thinking but IMO if enough people start calling and inquiring, it will tell the folks at the FDA that we the tax payers are concerned about the efficiency of one of our government agencies. If I am told that they can't tell me, then the next step will be for me to contact my state senator and local representative. We can all sit around and complain or we can at least try to get the ball rolling. I for one am sick and tired of seeing my investment in this company stagnate. COME ON FOLKS! PICK UP YOUR TELEPHONES! ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN REACTION! LETS DEMONSTRATE THAT THE SMALL INVESTOR HAS A VOICE IN THIS MATTER!!!! Those who call please post so I can know what kind of team we really are. VLAD
