Tom, sorry, I meant railing against Roman rule in the sense that Jesus was someone who was a social activist, and who was perceived by the Romans to threaten to disturb the peace, like many other Jews. I did not mean to suggest he was trying to overthrow the Romans in any seditious sense. I already furnished this little bit of the PBS documentary for Dwight to read, but I don't know if you are reading every post here, so without trying to be repetitious, here it is: pbs.org
