Gregor, amazing. How wonderful to be able to find that out for fact and in person, rather than being told by others who heard it. I think the Lord likesto arrange the divinely bizarre, like the four of you playing golf at one time years later, for instance.

Of all of the strangest of my divine appointments--I once visited a house in upper California where someone I hardly knew in the first place had given a room to a hippy god tripper. But I was a brand new Christian, and it was something you would have had to have seen in person. But I go to this guys room and here is this gentle little American who looks more like a hindu peasant and his whole room in covered with egg crates. The whole room. He had taken hundred and hundreds of egg crates and made an insulation to keep out the noise from his meditations. Now this precious guy was as gone on the god trip as anyone I'd ever seen, and I can tell you I saw people no script writer could have dreamed up. There, out there, unreal! But nothing to do with Jesus Christ, in fact, HE was always looked at as 9th on the list of "avatars" and only good for a couple of sayings now and then. This guy was gentle, precious and nearly totally nuts behind his trip.

I remember being in his room and talking for a long time, and my final warning to him when I left that if he went any further he would end up one day locked up as totally insane. And to try not to go any further in the direction he was going.

Four years later I went to a tiny church in Casper, CA, the tiniest little church you have ever seen, in a town of 25 I think, residents, to a rather huge meeting about 4 years later. Here we were, pouring into this tiny little church from different areas because that's all we did--go to church! This was bout 300 miles from where I first met this guy. We're singing and praising and the roof is about to come off and someone taps my shoulder. I turn around and there is this very meek and gentle looking normal person with shortish hair and dressed in normal male clothing. (I think I had first seen him in a robe of some kind, as in hinduish)

So I'm looking at him and he's looking at me with such utter amazement I know he knows me, and he says, don't you remember, I'm
________, back in Calistoga. His appearance was SO different I would never have remembered by sight, but the name was really sweet and as soon as he said it I starting making a huge scene.

He was with his Christian wife, and had been with the Lord over a year. I still can't get over it, even typing about it has me in a state of wonder. I remember that he was handling it so well, and I was just acting nuts, and he said, "oh, I knew we'd run into each other again."

It was just too off the reichter scale. Everyone on the threads has a simlimar story. So, of course the frat brothers are far from hopeless.

What I've been thinking about is the Resurrection and the Holy Spirit. We have to concentrate on the Crucifixion, but as everyone knows, that was just a normal and horrible death at the hands of a pagan, demonic society in a pagan an ddemonic time. The death and treatment before hand was acceptable and normal, and some people probably enjoyed watching it all, as the devil likes that.

But only after the Death and Resurrection were humans ever able to receive the Living God through the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that makes a Christian. The Holy Spirit is contact with the Living God. I think that is what people have missed for years now, the Holy Spirit.

Precious Lord Jesus, help us to get back to the Holy Spirit.

Precious Lord, send your Holy Spirit once again in great abundance.

Whether any of us are worthy of it or not, we pray.

Father God hear our prayer. Without your Son we had no hope. Without the Holy Spirit, we cannot do the work of your Son. I pray now for the same Holy Spirit which fell upon Peter and John in the upper room to fall upon all who call on the name of Jesus Christ, your Only Son.

Come sweet Holy Spirit.

Sweet Holy Spirit, Sweet Heavenly Dove,
Stay here among us,
filling us with your love...
And for this blessings, we lift our hearts in praise...
Without a doubt we know that we have been reborn...

And YOU are in this Place.

(A hymn from that time and hope it is still being sung)
