Peter, does Datek let you direct your NY listed stock trades to the NY exchange? With no additional cents per share?

I would be curious what kind of executions times people experience using various online serivces. I have occassionally pointed out the significant benefits I feel exist with a firm like ours and am constantly reminded of the 'blinding' speed offered by online internet firms. This usually ends in some drawn out discussion about the efficiencies and 'direct access' of online firms vs. slighly increased commissions, guidance, feedback and direct access to our trading desk.

Peter's post re: 30 second executions made me do a double take.
I had previously posted that generally, a client of ours could get an execution in 2 to 5 seconds on a marketalbe order and a few replied that even taht was slow.

Taking into consideration the time necessary to enter the site, enter the order and get a confirmation on amarketable order, what kind of response times are people experiencing with online internet firms?
