...if he would only step forward and admit that he has a problem and apologize to everyone he has hurt, including the American people who put their trust in him.

So he likes to screw. Taht in itself is not a problem. His taste in women obviously is.

Then, if he was going to do the right thing, he would spend much of his time in his retirement, addressing the problem so that others could help heal themselves.

"Hi! I'm Bill, and I'm a recovering sex addict!" Spare me taht. PLEASE.

Gmccon,

Many of us share your views in general that Mr. Clinton would make a fine fishing or hunting companion or dinner or party guest. I can't deny that he is compassionate, but that hasn't been proved to me. I also don't feel that his sexual activity, marital or extramarital is any of my business, and I can understand why even a basically honest person might lie about such a thing.

As far as his doing an admirable job as president, I must disagree. He has spent enough in Bosnia doing the Europeans' job to balance the budget without increasing the taxes. (But since he did that on the backs of the higher income folks, nobody cares.) Because of his easy money pact with Alan Greenspan, the stock market bubble has been prolonged and expanded, giving the populace an illusory sense of well being as they review their monthly mutual fund "gains". They don't realize that stocks and funds which don't pay dividends must be sold to realize the profit, and that when everyone wants to sell at the same time, nobody wants to buy. They have no sense of history and don't remember 1968-82, when stocks lost about 80% of their value.

Clinton is the consummate politician. He pushes the right buttons and lets the people know that the Federal Government is there to give each and every one of us a good life.

I don't think he's done such a good job. He's just lucky to have presided over a period of unprecedented prosperity which cannot last forever. Never has, never will.

Jack
