Greenspan is no idiot, that's for sure. For whatever reason he has chosen to be the poster boy for Clinton, Rubin, and the Wall Street establishment. Perhaps he is being blackmailed, perhaps he gets off on Wall Street's hero worship. Or perhaps he knows he has a tiger by the tail and is trying to put off the day of reckoning as long as possible.

Re Greenspan: Tremendous respect for the man's intellect, but cannot erase the vision of him beside Hillary. He may still prove his character by paying attention to the wage/employment signals, but somehow I doubt it.
