PS -

It would be so refreshing if the FCC simply announced that their legacy rules never took these contingencies into account, and that the old guard who they are now replacing were just sitting down on their duffs, hoping that this whole thing would just go away like a bad dream.

My guess is that their LAN administrators long ago received instructions to filter the TCP/IP addresses of Pulver.com and SI at the router-port level.

They've had three years to prepare for this, assuming tip-of-the-nose forecasting... time enough for a whole new industry to evolve. Talk about negligence. I don't think that there is any legitimate excuse for this, despite their claims of being understaffed due to cut backs. Then again, do we really want to see a federal agency that acts proactively in this context? Hmmm?

Does anyone have a good, succinct chronology (timeline) they'd like to post here, demonstrating the milestones over the past three or four years that have led up to this point in time? No investment spins or hype, please.
