I think he was just asking the question not implying anything.
Anyway who cares if there was a split? All a split does is double the amount of shares. If there was a split right now the stock would be about $21.50. Not only that but there would be about 2 billion WorldCom shares alone without MCI! Splits do little more than that. I don't understand why certain stocks go up because of a split and I never will. Of course if there is a real small float the big boys can get in without moving the price as much. I rather not see the thread start talking about such things unless there is a company announcement about it. There should not be a split until after the merger goes through and like someone else said the stock price is around $100.

Of course this is just one investors opinion.
