I'm no programmer, but I find it hard to accept that a computer program will ever be able to embrace the nuances which we talk about daily on this thread. I don't believe that business about the monkey typing out a Shakespearean play, either.

I have a theory that we will eventually build a computer that can function as well as a human brain, but we won't understand how that computer works, either.

Since the subject of voice recognition software has been brought up on this thread, I am curious as to your opinion of its use in your profession and if you yourself have tried it. This is not a loaded question. I'm just asking. Honest, that's all I'm doing. <insert obligatory vbg>
