"1998 will be the year for Fibre Channel" says IBM.

Does anyone know if Seagate is still the leading vendor of Fibre Channel drives? Will this combined with the clearing of their high end inventory lead them to the Promised Land sooner than we all anticipate?
Thoughts anyone?

Hi Sam,

interesting information. It may also explain Maxtor converting $200mil debt into convertible Hyandai shares recently (LK 2971). Lets hope they don't find a buyer and pull the plug on it

Regards
Alan

Earlier some one posted a link that said Seagate had reduced inventory on enterprise drives. Do you think this has been to driver of SEG shares? The sector is doing very well today.
