Pfeiffer said that these inventory problems could extend into the second quarter. Two quarters IS a short term problem.

As for the other stuff you wrote - Is this your explanation for the inventory problem? I hope not. Look at the old Compaq posts for the answer. I believe the cause of this glut was discussed there long ago.

I believe Dell management called it end of life technology. Appropriate terminology for 6 month old or greater inventory don't you think?

By the way, what's TTFN? And isn't anyone going to address the consumer vs commercial customer?
