Pat - I remember dreaming of 8Mb surfing when we first started talking about ADSL. Now after lots of time and PR look what GTE is planning to charge for 1.5Mb. <<Pricing will range from $30 per month for 256K-bps service to $250 a month for 1.5M-bps service, in addition to installation charges, Internet access fees and modem lease charges. Volume and term discounts will be offered to large-scale business customers, officials said.>> Will they have the guts to charge $1000/mo for the full service? I for one will not line up for $250 per mo. Hope the surprises to come are lower prices to the masses... Ed...
