One type of sucker's rally is after the analysts throw out buy recommendations with the intent of generating higher volume and prices so that they can then sell their holdings at the inflated price after which the price falls back to previous levels.

However, todays rise was accompanied by general strength in the telecom sector. So it looks more like a normal rotation to me.

Still, aren't the tech's usually the last sector to rally just before a market correction? That seems to be usually when I get caught off guard.
