Why did Intel warn if they were going to come back and beat the
lowered earnings estimates. Was this some kind of strategy to keep
them from getting killed by missing earnings. CNBC is playing this
up like they blew away the streets estimates but in fact suffered
lower sequential earnings and revenues and lower margins.
What about losing market share in the sub-1000 pc market.

Suppose they said 50% decline and came in with a 42% decline. This is the idiotic
mantra of the current bull mania that we are in (how'd they do compared to
expectations?). They declined -- PERIOD. If they decline again it will be a trend, OK?

How many declines of 8% do they have to have before they are in deep stuff?
--
You obviously don't follow Intel. I can't respond to your questions the way they are phrased, I will assume you were short Intel, thus the anger.

barry,
how refreshing. someone with their eyes open. intc revenues flat to down next qtr. that essentialy makes 6 in a row. intc is cream of the crop regarding mfg and marketing. however, if they aren't succesful in the low end, stock will go much lower over next year. i hope this one runs back to some crazy 85/90 a share. ill take out a loan to short it at those prices.

Barry, Re: >"How many declines of 8% do they have to have before they are in deep stuff?:<

Perception had them in "DEEP STUFF" when it was thought decline would have been 10%

At that time stock was about 83 down from about 94. Now it seems the perception is, at 76 stock is now UNDERVALUED. But that of course can change.

BECAUSE INVESTING IS NOT AN EXACT SCIENCE THERE ARE NO EXPERTS JUST SPECULATORS. For example keep a close eye on CPQ's (per open market) Q1 earnings report tomorrow which could effect (+/-) future perception of INTC.

Gentlemen place your bets!!!

Earnings are flat for 6 quarters now, and counting.
