It seems to me that Flat rate is going to be a possible way around the FCC's thinking. If you don't charge by the minute its going to become more difficult for the FCC to figure it out... Not to say they won't but it does add to their problems. Maybe to the the point that they leave it alone...

Hopefully,

Bob

Talked to Regional FCC Director about Internet Telephony:

I had the midwest regional director of the FCC..(this guy was in charge of a 17 state area)..come to my law school class today. I asked him if there would be fees imposed on internet phone calls in the near future. He said that the story was leaked somehow to the press several weeks ago(much to the dismay of the FCC) and that the public outcry since the leak has changed the time period for any regulations. He said "there will not be any fees in the near future and that they most likely not come into existence for a a long time."
It sounds as if the whole issue has been put on hold for awhile until the dust settles(as far as the FCC is concerned). This should give the sector some breathing room for awhile.

Alan

What are all these dates? When you all believe the qtrly results will be published? FTEL does not trade on revenue reports at this time. I would not expect much in the way of sales yet. Thus, all these mentions of target dates for news is just fluff and hype. Sorry to say. Please prove me wrong.
