The lack of a "change order" button is one of their most glaring shortcomings.

Along with the lack of a "all or nothing" button.

******************** QUESTIONS TO ALL **********************

All:

I am currently with Discover Brokerage Direct (Lombard). I have some dispute with them, therefore I am thinking about switching broker. I have read good things about Datek and glancing through a dozens of recent posts, I also learned about some shortcoming with Datek. I will try to read more posts on this thread, but if someone can kindly summarize the good things and bad things about Datek, I would really appreciate it. You can post on this thread or PM me.

Especially someone who has had an account with Lombard could fill me with a comparison between the two brokers.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Mike.

---------------------------------------------

Good things about Datek I have read so far:
- Fast execution
- Get good price between bid and ask
- Low commission

Bad things about Datek (a lot of questions):
- NO LIVE BROKER ??????!!!!!!!!! Is that true?
- Cannot do a change order, have to cancel first
- No "All or none" option
- Any problem with accuracy in account balance?
- Any problem with quick trade confirmation?
- Any problem filling in order for odd number of shares, i.e. 495 shares of XYZ?
- Any problem getting in during busy period, especially during a market crash? Any slow Internet response?
- Any problem dealing with customer service? Any problem resolving dispute or complaint?
- How reliable is their Internet system? How frequent are crashes?
- Any problem with margin account?
- How fast can you receive money that you withdraw from your account?
- I like to hear any other negative things.

Last question: If it's true that Datek has no live broker, could someone point me to another good brokerage house that has live broker but also good Internet trading and low commission, fast execution and good price.

Many thanks.
