Mr. Kennedy.... Have you ever had a 5 share fill on a 1000 share order? I doubt it or you wouldn't have posted your last message. Or maybe you work for Datek?? <G>.

Regards

John

If you consider discussing the pros and cons of various brokers, market maker games, and Nasdaq rules to be whining, I think you see the world slightly skewed. And if you can call Datek great, then you have either been with them a very short time, are a VERY occasional investor, or are easily pleased.

When you continually get partial fills of 5, 73, 82 or 13 shares of a 1-5k share order, and don't get the rest, you will be the first to bitch.

When your open orders suddenly disappear into never never land, and Datek says you must have never placed them, you will chew your fingernails off.

When you NEVER get a response to your e-mails, or a straight answer from their personnel, you will also start buying the Tums in bulk.

I could go on, but won't. All here are familiar with what I speak. Consider yourself lucky if you aren't....... YET

And yes, I have taken 90% of my money elsewhere, so I speak with my wallet, too. (I won't even say how long that took).

I guess you like the Dilbert ticker, too.

Good for you, but you are a minority. If you want to cheerlead for DATEK, go work for them. OK.

But, this week so far has SUCKED in response time. I live on the West Coast, and it is damn irritating. SLOW is shitty, and considering that this is a TECHNICAL problem, why can't DATEK just hire and fire people until they get a competent crew. At this point, trained poodles could have upgraded there servers. AMATEUR is what datek should call themselves. ANd their communications department is an insult to the intelligence of the average web surfer.

They always presume that the problem is on my end, then they look into it, and discover that it their incompetance. Amateurs. If they weren't so cheap, they would lose half their clients.

Also, while I am venting, where the HELL is the options trading we were promised. Even Ameritrade got it's ass in gear on that one.

One more time, AMATEUR!.

J. Normilie (sic), you listening.

Steve,

Have you ever tried to call what Datek claims is a customer service department? Most of the have the attitude that Datek would be a great place to work if it weren't for all those &@#!!%$ customers.
