MARCH "TOP 3 PICKS" Results:

*******************************************************************
What follows below is a repost from the QDEK thread where a contest has been going on since the start of the new year. Participants chose their Top 3 Picks for 1998 after the last day of trade in 1997. Below is the repost.
*******************************************************************

Okay gang, after 1 quarter (3 months), here are the numbers.
As usual, list is from best performance to worst performance.

SI Name..............Top 3 Picks.......................Results..............Average

Linch............QDEK IFMX NETM.......7.4...78.9..39.1.........41.8
[Tie-breaker pics of QDEK-NETM-VSNR are up an ave of 21.5% since selected on 03/06/98].

4-UR-EYES-ONLY..same as above [however, his tie-breaker pics of ATCT-MFN-OXHP are down an ave of (1.1) since he selected them on 3/06/98].

Vladimir..........QDEK MACR MPRS.....7.4...79.0..(2.7).......27.9

John Edwards...QDEK MUEI SYMC.....7.4...39.0..22.8.......23.1

Best Single Selection:....Vladimir (MACR) + 79.0%
Worst Single Selection:...Rusti H (RAIN) - 54.5%

Words from your leader:
------------------------
First of all, I want to say congratulations to Peter Marx who I once thought would never leave that shameful position of last place. His DIGL selection, which had saddled him from the beginning, rose over 62% this past month. Unfortunately, however, its still down 53% for the year.

A special thanks to Wink who sent me the closing price of ADOT which I usually have trouble finding. His good dead, however, lands him in last place. Wink, I will submit your name for the "sportsman-like conduct award" at the end of the competition.

To 4-ur-eyes-only: How foolish of you to attempt a tie-breaker challange with me. I answered your challange and now you are already paying for it. You should of been content with riding my coat-tails.

To the rest of you (and especially to Jesse Livermore and John Edwards): How foolish of you to think that March would end any differently than the previous months. Now you guys are not even battling for the silver, but the bronze. Remember to keep realistic goals. FYI, gold is not a realistic goal for anyone other than myself.

Rest assured, if anyone can replace me at the top, these bragging rights will be rewarded to you. Before I publish the results I will give you the opportunity to inform me of any words of wisdom or BS you would like to have published with the results.

Good luck to all.
