Let's not forget there is options expiry this week. Merrill--and its elite clients--most likely have big positions to unwind, and you will notice that all actively traded stocks, INTC included, would settle around a nice round number--a strike price gravitating toward the largest open interest.

Kurlak isn't stupid, just unethical.
