If Apple continues to improve with better machines and cheepie machines before Christmas, I feel the Apple OS will compete with Windows. If Apple gets the message out that it is easier to operate than Windows, I definitely feel Apple will cut into Windows machines significantly. I don't care what arrangement Jobs made with Gates, if Apple improves, conflict with Microsoft is inevitable. In addition, if the DOJ starts chopping, Microsoft may be ripe for shorting. Let us see!!
