Noticing that there seem to be some "readers" on our PSFT thread, I have been reading some excellent investment related books:

1) Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds - Charles Mackay / written in 1600's about financial market activity in Amsterdam / Excellent reading for anyone thinking that "things are different now" / reads a little choppy due to archaic phrases, latin, etc., but enjoyable and insightful.

2) Education of a Speculator - Victor Niederhoffer - Experiences and tales from a trader/speculator who worked for George Soros for a period.

I decided to take a break from the day-to-day following of the market, hedge some gains, and get some additional perspective through reading and relaxation.

cheers. Rick.

P.S. Just to follow protocol and say something about PSFT: still love it, but wary of a takeover causing a short term blip; difficult to predict, so its probably best to stay long and buy more if it dips.
