Wrong Janice.

Try having someone else pay your bills and its either a gift or income. Either way, someone has to pay taxes on it unless there is some exemption.

Considering that Clinton hired his legal team and not the "defense fund", he would be responsible and payments by third parties to relieve that debt would be income or a gift to him.

Your comment is absurd, especially when we're talking millions of dollars. Next thing you'll maintain is that Clinton is a designated charity.

It may be true that Clinton doesn't owe taxes on that money, but certainly not for the reason you cite.
