Don, I agree with you on Reminiscences of a Stock Operator. I have to say that was actually one of my favorite books. However, I didn't think it was a fictionalized story of Jesse Livermore. My understanding was that it was actually based on his experiences.

Thanks for the info and book suggestion - I will seek it out.

Interesting that Niederhoffer lost it all. Do you have any additional details on the circumstances ? I would assume that an established money manager / hedge guy would have to do something extremely irrational to lose everything - too concentrated of a bet ? excessive leverage ?

Anyway...cheers.

P.S. Maybe that's why he went into storytelling....couldn't find anyone's money to manage ????

Is Jesse Livermore a real person? Because there is someone on SI with that name, I always thought it was his real name! Hes a penny stock guy.

Also can anybody point me to some recent wins for Red Pepper. Im not familiar with RP myself (I have a large position in I2). Sure would like to know what the customers think about the pros/cons of each.
