Many "Presidential" historians have commented that Clinton would not have been even a serious contender for the highest office had the Cold War still been running. They say people are now generally satisfied and don't want much to be done in Washington and that Clinton is just the man to do it. I imagine historians will still be unearthing new Clinton sleaze twenty years out. Other than corruption, his will be remembered as the Presidency that launched ten thousand jokes.
