$28 in five days, eh? I wish ... Note that 1394 and Fibre Channel are pretty mature specs ... they are not coming out of the blue ... a lot of work has gone into them. My hit is that SCSI is doomed ... a goner in 3-5. Some technology transitions are slow ... this is an example of one that can be fast. SCSI could go from 25% penetration to 2% in a 6 month interval. SCSI has very little "lock" on anything ... can be largely replaced by something else without many obstacles. I'm betting ADPT knows this perfectly well and has planned to profit in the transition.
