Yahoo! is probably the AOL of the net but there is more room for a shake-up. Infoseek doesn't have anything truly stunning in terms of technology that Microsoft can't match and I fully expect MSFT to be the 800 lb guerilla.

I stupidly became short SEEK at the very end of today because of valuations and the run-up. Clearly, fundamentals have no place in the internet stocks and I need to change to a purely technical/momentum investing style in these stocks.

The only thing I can't stand are investors that confuse momentum investing with value investing. It's hilarious to see posts on the Yahoo! message boards calculating "numbers" that say Seek is undervalued because their share price is much less than XCIT, LCOS and YHOO! Guess they didn't learn about the # outstanding shares & market cap being the real value.
