David, I don't know how Datek can say that AAPL is not marginable. Switch brokers. Linda It was only like that last night US time. Now we're back to normal. One day I came in and a $2.50 stock was listed at $8 on the "portfolio" page. I could have placed an order and gone over the margin requirements the next day. Another day 2 stocks were listed at $0 and I was close to a margin call position. I haven't looked at any other US internet brokers but maybe I should. It will be a big hassle to move getting forms and sending them back across the Pacific etc. David
