Bill,

Apple's sales didn't fall. They increased. It was the revenues from them that fell. That's because they lowered pricing to be competitive, as the boxmakers are doing, as a rule, right now.

Apple will be increasing market share remarkably now. Look at the press they're getting!

I agree that NC's don't seem to be a very good idea.

Linda

"Linda, This is good for Apple, but not optimal. Note sales for the quarter are down to 1.6B from 1.8B, but costs fell faster and more units sold, leaving more profits. The quarter we are now in will have a lot less OS sales and traditionally consumer sales fall this quarter and really bottom in the summer quarter(only coming back in Sept). Costs have been cut and I expect sales to fall a bit more this quarter and profits to be a bit less, and there may even be a loss in Q3/Q4 until the educationals and fall sales pick up the slack."

Bill which freaking stock are you looking at? Sales for this quarter was 1.4 billion not 1.6B, 1.8B or whatever you'd like to make up. Can we have some accuracy here?

"and there may even be a loss in Q3/Q4"

Bill where do you come up with this stuff? I think as the record will show...you don't know jack. Your OPINION of AAPL is always negative, distorted and without basis. I suppose after a couple months of moaning, bitching and bashing you'll say that Q3/Q4 may look pretty good and then claim that you're right all along. You are pathetic and your analysis (or lack thereof) is worthless.

Eric

Hi Bill, I think you could read the Q1 report at the SEC site, Edgar I think. It is the full report on Q1. F.Anderson said Appl expects to see some revenue growth in Q4 maybe Q3, he also said margins would improve in Q2, he was certainly right about the margins. His comments would seem to differ from yours.
