Merrill Lynch's Rating System (Kurlak)

ML rates their stocks (A,B,C,D) - (1,2,3,4,5,6) - (1,2,3,4,5,6) - (7,8,9)

INTC is rated a B-3-2-7

B stands for average risk (A is low risk, C is higher risk)

3 stands for Intermediate term stock appreciation potential

2 stands for Long term appreciation potential

7 stands for income rating (7 - High, 8 - Medium, 7 - Low)

Kurlak never sets up a target price for stocks rated a 3 (which is a hold - but in practice a sell since the rating 4 is never used)

Hope this helps
