Marc, Arkon failed when Apple share dropped. CSS integrated sideways into Compaq and Eagle, Eagle never flew.
But they remain the top corporate APple store in Toronto. They are not as cheap as some, but they now have a fully integrated Apple sevice center as well as an 'any Wintel' service shop. They are geared to corporate quotes and sell to the high end graphics houses etc.
Not a hacker place, but service is top rated, unlike the Mac warehouse which is less good.

I sold my share in Arkon in 1982 and started Computer Parts Galore on College Street. Arkon was run by the partners son and he did not keep his eye on the ball. Theft by employees because the owner was not right at the switch was the reason. My ex partner, Marvin, is now at deaths door with cancer. We are still good friends. At the height CPG was a 5 store chain, until my Batavia NY manager embezzled me to the point where I had to sell the Rochester NY Store to pay the accounts. It is still alive and well as Accurate Tech. 100% Wintel.

I retired and now live on rents from the stores which are rented to others as retail got really lean in 1992.

Do you recall CPG?
