Sam -- I'll say that Duncan's knowledge of history is rather limited - not by his lack of research, but by his selectivity<G> Given time (which commodity I rarely have) it can be fun - one never knows what kind of godawful spin he'll put (from the very rightest of sources, of course) on relatively straightforward stuff. If he was a pitcher, he'd be Gaylord Perry.

It's funny - before the war, Hitler's boys made some "earnest" appeals to the British to allow German Jews to emigrate to Palestine, knowing full well that the Brits were in no position to quell the warfare that would result, or to offend their other friends in the Middle East. And after the war, during the Nuremberg trials, several of these had the gall to blame the Brits for "creating" the Holocaust.
