<As it happens, this is not an IBM or GE or Sony, nor a DEC or Sun or MSFT. So measured against all companies anywhere it is not so big, >

I may not be able to back Sal being an expert, but I will back his NSCP statement. He says NSCP was a third tier performer. For many investors, NSCP has destoyed enormous amounts of capital. It is highly volatile without the requisite reward to justify it. It has probably the most precarious competitive postition in the industry. Sal's statement can be justified numerically byu comparing historical risk and return, there is no need to mention "but in the Internet context it is pretty large and very seminal for the industrialization of the net, if not it's invention." These do not necessarily reflect performance, as is exemplified in NSCP's case, and what exactly did NSCP invent?

Oh yeah, I am an expert, so feel free to challenge me.
