Sonki on the other thread posted a while back that the ave. strike price is 80, for options due in May thru Aug. Perhaps it's a coincidence!!! that Karnak opened his mouth and CNBC propagated his words when INTC started to trade at 80-1/16, from which point the MMs like Merril, Goldie and Solie who bought much of those puts will start to lose serious money. i said that? nope ! currently, hightest open int(call+puts) in july is at 75. there is no august expiration for intel. i just did a quick scan. anyway, i don't know what is the significance of what i might have said. i do not look at avrg strike price. best thig to do is look at Ben's chart.
